The Alabama Public Charter School Commission approved plans for the Alabama Aerospace and Aviation High School to open in the fall of 2022 in Bessemer.
School officials said the public charter school will offer an immersive, industry-aligned education designed to prepare students for future aerospace and aviation careers.
